人生哲理英语美文摘抄1

There once was a master who went to india. in those times, we didn't have

the communications or airplanes or many kinds of transportation that we do now.

so the master went to india on foot. he had never been to india before; perhaps

he came from persia. and when he got there, he saw a lot of fruit. in india they

have plenty of fruit to sell, but much of it is expensive because they can't

grow much due to the water situation. so he saw one basket, a big basket of some

very red, long fruit. and it was the cheapest in the shop, not expensive at

all.

So he went up and asked, "how much per kilo?" and the shopkeeper said, "two

rupees." two rupees in india is nothing; it's like dirt. so he bought a whole

kilogram of the fruit and started eating it. but after he ate some of it: oh, my

god! his eyes watered, his mouth watered and burned, his eyes were burning, his

head was burning and his face became red. as he coughed and choked and gasped

for breath, he jumped up and down, saying, "ah! ah! ah!"

But he still continued to eat the fruit! some people who were looking at

him shook their heads and said, "you're crazy, man. those are chilies! you can't

eat so many; they're not good for you! people use them as a condiment, but only

a little bit to put into food for taste. you can't just eat them by the handful

like that; they're not fruit!" so the stupid master said, "no, i can't stop! i

paid money for them, and now i'll eat them. it's my money!"

人生哲理英语美文摘抄2

there was once a lonely girl who longed so much for love. one day while she

was walking in the woods she found two starving songbirds. she took them home

and put them in a small cage. she cared them with love and the birds grew

strong. every morning they greeted her with a wonderful song. the girl felt

great love for the birds.

one day the girl left the door to the cage open. the larger and stronger of

the two birds flew from the cage. the girl was so frightened that he would fly

away. as he flew close, she grasped him wildly. her heart felt glad at her

success in capturing him. suddenly she felt the bird go limp. she opened her

hand and stared in horror at the dead bird. her desperate love had killed

him.

she noticed the other bird moving back and forth on the edge of the cage.

she could feel his great need for freedom. he needed to soar into the clear,

blue sky. she lifted him from the cage and tossed him softly into the air. the

bird circled once, twice, three times.

人生哲理英语美文摘抄3

When we were kids, we had no idea of what limitations were and we had no

care in the world so we could do things without worrying about how we appeared

to others. However, as we grew up, we lost that childlike innocence.

So don't lose the child that still lives within you. The next time you feel

down, go turn on your favorite song, and sing and dance along like there is no

tomorrow. Or watch something that makes you laugh. Laughter is the best medicine

to whatever ails you and nothing is better than laughing so hard that your tummy

hurts. Trust me, you will feel a whole lot better, and who doesn't want to feel

good?

人生哲理英语美文摘抄4

We all, at one time or another, have pretended to be a rock star, singing

and dancing along to our favorite song. Most of us have done this in the privacy

of our own room when we were kids and as adults, in the privacy of our homes.

Me? I love to do that when I drive! I turn on the radio, find a song that I can

sing along too and pretty soon my arms are in the air and I am moving along to

the rhythm. Most of the time, I do this on my way to work.

Yes, that is true. I will be in my nice work clothes, jamming while driving

or stopped at a traffic light. I get weird looks from some people and others

laugh. Personally, I love to get lost in the rhythm of a song which leads me to

share with you the importance of being silly!

The definition for the word silly, according to the dictionary is: stupid,

foolish and nonsensical. I know many people do not want to look foolish. So they

walk around all serious, which in all honesty, is foolish!

No one is perfect, I repeat: no one is perfect. I don't care how educated,

how thin, how beautiful, how simple, how frugal, how rich, and so on… No one is

perfect! So why pretend to be something you are not?

人生哲理英语美文摘抄5

Silence

silence is soundlessness; silence exists in different forms.

an empty head or a blank mind which leads to speechlessness--that is

silence.

enthusiasm fades like dying embers and thus leads to cynicism and

indifference to life, which arouses neither happiness nor sadness, neither

worries nor anger, and which costs people their interest in and desire for

anything--that is silence.

despite all the experiences of love and hate, of disorientation and

reorientation, of order-giving that was answered by hundreds and call-issuing

that was not answered by a single soul, there is not a word uttered, but only a

clam eye that watches on this world--that is also silence.

worries and sufferings, tastes of changes and vicissitudes of the world,

footprints left in mountains and valleys and noises of rivers and oceans

cherished in the heart are all but hidden unrevealed--that is still silence.

either an invaluable italian violin or a reed whistle cut out casually

would remain silent if they are not played, although the connotations of their

silences differ greatly. for even though they are never touched by anybody, you

can still imagine the vastly different sounds they can possibly produce.

a flawless jade ornament, or a coarse, gross brick will always remain

silent if it is left untouched, but who can draw an equal sign between them?

indeed, for a living being there is no such thing as true silence, for

silence itself is a revelation of the mind and the heart, an echo of the soul of

a different form.

some people use silence as a disguise of the emptiness of the head.

some use it as a means to depict their disorientation and melancholy.

and some use it as a way of expressing their angers and sorrows.
